The king and queen were in their palace feasting on food while the rest of the community had to starve. The king then promised to give some bread to the hungry crowd. While this was all going on some of the women got into the palace and tried to harm Mary Antoinette. Luckily for her she managed to escape through a secret passage way. Her two body gurads had their heads impaled on pikes On her way out to fight against the angry crowd she used her children as human shields. The king finally announced he was escaping to paris with his wife and children. But the very next day, his wife Mary and him became members of the "third estate" or known as common people.
