The National Assembly
The National Assembly was created on June 17th 1789. The assembly was formed of representitives of the third state. The remaining people of France were urged to join the assembly but do zero business with France. The third estate created this assembly without asking permission from the king. They treated the assembly as if they were the second king. They promsied to improve laws, and promised new, fairer, legislation, though in order to pay French debt they kept the old tax laws in place until something better could be devised.
